A Water Fountain Additive to Speed Ink Drying

Varn® Ink Drying Stimulator is a special water fountain additive which improves the

surface drying of lithographic inks. By speeding surface drying, “ink set-off” is reduced,
jobs turn over faster, with less chance of smudging and streaking, and there’s an overall
reduction or elimination of the use of spray powder. The use of Ink Drying Stimulator
can speed up production schedules, particularly on jobs where ink drying is a problem.

Directions: Add 1/2 to 1 oz. of Varn’s Ink Drying Stimulator to each finished gallon of fountain solution. Ink Drying Stimulator is formulated to perform in any acid system. It enables ink to dry from the top down, particularly on difficult jobs where drying and ink set-off are problems. Do not use more than 3 ozs. of Ink Drying Stimulator for each gallon of water in your water fountain system.
