Description
Lithco Ink Fresh Anti-Skinning Spray Aerosol Can (10/case or 6-pack)
Lithco Ink Fresh Anti-Skinning Aerosol Spray is equivalent to Sprayway #950 American Niagara Ink Anti-Skin No Wash-Up Spray!
Primary Uses & Benefits
- Prevents Skinning: When sprayed over the surface of ink in a can or on the press rollers, it creates a barrier that stops oxidation, preventing a hard "skin" from forming.
- Eliminates Overnight Wash-ups: By spraying the rollers during downtime (like overnight breaks), you can avoid having to wash the rollers daily, as the ink remains "open" and wet.
- Ink Retarder: It can be mixed directly into ink to slightly slow down the drying time on the press if the ink is "setting up" too quickly.
- Reduces Waste: Prevents the loss of expensive ink that would otherwise be thrown away due to skinning or premature drying.
- Replacement Product: Can be used as a direct replacement for Sprayway #950.
Instructions for Use
- On Rollers: During idle press time or overnight, spray a light, even mist directly onto the ink rollers while they are idling to ensure total coverage.
- In Ink Cans: Before sealing a can of ink, spray the surface of the ink. For extra protection, some printers spray a wax paper circle and place it directly on the ink surface after spraying.
- In the Fountain: Spray over the ink in the fountain (duct) to keep it fresh during lunch breaks or between shifts.
Safety & Handling
- [!] CAUTION: This product is a flammable aerosol. According to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), it contains pressurized gases and petroleum distillates.
- Flammability: Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and hot surfaces. Do not smoke during use.
- Ventilation: Use only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid breathing in the mist or vapors, as it may cause dizziness or drowsiness.
- Storage: Do not store at temperatures above 120°F (49°C). Do not puncture or incinerate the can even when empty.
- First Aid: If it gets in your eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting and seek medical attention immediately.
