Frequently Asked Questions
What is Sunpak Packing Paper used for?
Sunpak packing paper is used under blankets, plates, or on back cylinders of offset printing presses to precisely adjust pressure for optimal ink transfer and print quality.
What are the key features of Sunpak Packing Paper?
It features an anti-creep formulation to resist slipping, an anti-wicking treatment to resist moisture, high density to maintain gauge, and excellent formation for uniform output. It also contains recycled fibers.
What thicknesses are available for the 20" x 26.5" size?
This size is available in .002", .003", .004", .005" (100 sheets/pack) and .010" (50 sheets/pack) thicknesses.
Why are anti-creep and anti-wicking treatments important?
Anti-creep prevents the packing paper from moving or slipping during the press run, maintaining consistent pressure. Anti-wicking prevents moisture absorption at the edges, ensuring the paper lasts longer and maintains its gauge.
