Texsource Chem 300 Color Change & Press Wipe

Engineered for lightning-fast on-press color adjustments, squeegee wipe-downs, and screen opening during active production runs. Dries rapidly without leaving an oily solvent barrier or compromising stencil integrity.

Rapid Ink Dissolution for Minimal On-Press Downtime

Texsource Chem 300 is an aggressive, fast-evaporating solvent blend formulated specifically for screen printers requiring high-efficiency color changes directly on the press. Whether clearing out a lighter plastisol hue to transition to a dark shade or wiping squeegees and flood bars between setups, Chem 300 liquefies wet plastisol ink instantly upon contact.

Unlike heavy ink degradents designed strictly for the washout booth, Chem 300 flashes off quickly without softening emulsion stencils, dissolving capillary films, or delaminating blockouts. Its fast-dry profile prevents greasy residual film from bleeding into fresh ink deposits or contaminating fresh garment substrates on restarting.

Emulsion-Safe Formulation Will not degrade, prematurely soften, or blow out exposed direct emulsion during wipe downs.
Rapid Flash-Off Rate Evaporates quickly to minimize print stoppage and ensure crisp registration without solvent bleed.
Ready-to-Use (RTU) No mixing, no dilution. Dispenses effortlessly via trigger spray bottles or pressroom squirt cans.
Equipment Compatible Safe on polyurethane squeegee blades, aluminum frames, stainless flood bars, and manual platens.

Operational Protocol & Application Guidelines

On-Press Color Transition Procedure

  1. Bulk Evacuation: Scrape all excess plastisol ink from the mesh, squeegee, and flood bar back into ink containers using an ink card or flexible spatula.
  2. Chemical Application: Apply a targeted spray of undiluted Chem 300 directly onto the squeegee side of the open screen or mist onto a shop towel.
  3. Agitation & Lift: Scrub gently with a shop rag or non-abrasive scrub pad until all ink particles dissolve into solution.
  4. Two-Sided Dry Wipe: Wipe the squeegee side thoroughly with a dry, lint-free cloth. Repeat light wipe on the print (shirt) side to remove residual migration.
  5. Evaporation Pause: Allow 30 to 60 seconds of ambient dry time. Once the solvent has flashed clear, charge with the new ink color and resume production.

Pro-Tip: Always sequence print production from light color values to dark color values. Transitioning from white/yellow to dark navy/black requires 70% less wash-down solvent and labor than reversing dark to light.

Mandatory Safety & Handling

  • Hand Protection: Wear solvent-resistant nitrile gloves. Avoid extended skin contact.
  • Eye Protection: Splash-resistant safety glasses or chemical face shield.
  • Ventilation: Use in well-ventilated areas with forced air or extraction systems.
  • Storage: Store sealed in a cool, dark environment away from flash units and open flames.
  • Water Alert: Ready-to-use formulation. Do not cut or dilute with water.
