Texsource Chem 300 - Color Change & Press Wipe is an essential screen printing pressroom solvent formulated to dissolve wet plastisol ink on contact during active color changes and production wipe-downs. It allows screen printers to perform clean, efficient color swaps directly on press without removing screens from registration.
Engineered to flash off quickly, Chem 300 leaves zero oily barrier behind on the screen printing mesh. This dry finish ensures that new ink colors are neither diluted nor repelled, preventing ink bleeding, registration smear, or adhesion issues upon resuming production.
Chem 300 is formulated to protect screen printing stencils, remaining safe on direct emulsions, capillary films, and blockouts during repeated wipe-downs. Application Instructions & Safety Protocol
Directions for On-Press Use
- Card Off Ink: Scrape all excess ink off the screen printing mesh, squeegee, and flood bar using an ink card.
- Apply Solvent: Apply Chem 300 directly onto the squeegee side of the screen or apply generously onto a shop rag.
- Agitate & Dissolve: Wipe across the image area until the plastisol ink liquefies and releases from the mesh knuckles.
- Wipe Clean: Thoroughly wipe both sides of the screen printing mesh with a clean, dry lint-free cloth.
- Flash Off: Allow the solvent to evaporate fully before introducing the new ink color and resuming printing.
