Texsource Chem ER1 - Emulsion Remover

Ready-to-use liquid stencil remover formulated to rapidly break down and strip direct emulsions, capillary films, and stencils during screen printing reclamation.

Fast-Acting Stencil Stripping for Efficient Wash-Booth Reclaiming

Texsource Chem ER1 - Emulsion Remover is an aggressive, ready-to-use screen printing stencil stripper engineered to dissolve exposed direct emulsions and capillary films quickly and cleanly. Designed as the core reclamation chemical in your washout booth, Chem ER1 attacks cross-linked emulsion polymers without attacking or weakening delicate polyester mesh threads.

Whether your shop coats with pure photopolymer (SBQ), dual-cure, or diazo-based emulsions, Chem ER1 penetrates deep into the stencil coating to release its grip on the mesh knuckles. Its liquid consistency spreads easily across both sides of the screen, ensuring complete coverage and consistent breakdown across fine details and heavy ink deposits alike.

Supplied ready to use with no secondary mixing or dilution required, Chem ER1 rinses freely with a high-pressure water blaster. It is non-hazardous, biodegradable, and drain safe when flushed in accordance with local regulations, helping production screen printing shops keep reclaim lines running smoothly and safely.

Key Product Features

  • Formulated specifically for stripping screen printing direct emulsions and capillary films
  • Rapidly dissolves pure photopolymer, dual-cure, and diazo-sensitized stencils
  • Ready-to-use liquid formula — eliminates measuring and mixing errors
  • Non-caustic and gentle on polyester mesh to preserve screen tension and longevity
  • 100% water-soluble formula rinses away cleanly with high-pressure water
  • Biodegradable and drain safe for eco-conscious screen printing reclaim operations

Wash-Booth Application & Safety Protocol

Directions for Washout Booth Use

  1. Ink Removal: Ensure all plastisol, UV, or solvent ink has been completely removed with an ink degradent prior to applying emulsion remover.
  2. Apply Chem ER1: Spray or apply Chem ER1 directly onto both sides of the screen printing mesh using a spray bottle, sponge, or scrub pad.
  3. Agitate: Scrub both sides of the screen thoroughly with a dedicated chemical-resistant brush or scrub pad.
  4. Dwell: Allow the product to sit on the mesh for 1 to 2 minutes to break down the emulsion. Do not allow emulsion remover to dry on the screen, as this will permanently lock the stencil into the mesh.
  5. Pressure Rinse: Blast the dissolved stencil out of the mesh using a high-pressure water rinse, working systematically from the bottom of the screen to the top.

Safety & Handling (SDS Summary)

  • Eye Protection: Wear safety glasses with side shields or chemical splash goggles.
  • Hand Protection: Wear chemical-resistant rubber or nitrile gloves.
  • Safety Profile: Non-flammable, non-caustic, biodegradable formulation.
  • Ventilation: Use with adequate wash-booth ventilation.
  • Storage: Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Store in a cool, dry area. Protect from freezing and direct sunlight.
