Texsource Chem 200 - Screen Degreaser is an essential screen printing pre-coating chemical formulated to thoroughly clean synthetic and wire screen mesh. Residual body oils, shop dust, lint, and chemical residues left behind after reclaiming can interfere directly with liquid emulsion or capillary film adhesion, leading to pinholes, fisheyes, and premature stencil breakdown during a press run.
Engineered with wetting and emulsifying agents, Chem 200 cuts cleanly through greasy films and microscopic shop dust. By lowering the surface tension of the water during the wash stage, it creates a uniform water sheet across the screen printing mesh fibers to ensure smooth emulsion flow and durable stencil longevity.

Wash-Booth Application & Safety Protocol
Directions for Use
- Screen Preparation: Wet both sides of the screen printing mesh with water in the washout booth.
- Apply Chem 200: Apply the degreaser liberally to both sides of the wet mesh fabric.
- Scrub & Agitate: Scrub the entire screen thoroughly on both the squeegee side and substrate side using a clean brush or dedicated degreasing pad.
- Rinse Clean: Rinse the screen thoroughly with water until all chemical residue and lather are flushed away.
- Dry Mesh: Allow the screen to dry dust-free in a horizontal position prior to emulsion coating or film application.
