Approved Ink Modifiers & Mixing Versatility
The Texsource GEN series integrates smoothly with standard commercial additives. For fine skin-tone blending and simulated process separations, modify with curable reducers to clear high mesh counts (200–230+ tpi), stretch additives for elastic ribbing, or thickeners. Always follow specific manufacturer additive ratios to preserve the low 285°F cure performance.
Press Performance & Production Advantages
Texsource GEN Series Rebel Flesh (11260) is an advanced textile plastisol formulated for spot color designs, character illustrations, and simulated process flesh tones. Certified to match Pantone PMS 3596C, this formulation provides clean tonal balance, exceptional printability, and smooth wet-on-wet performance on both manual presses and high-speed automatic carousels.
*Color swatch & photos are visual representations only. Monitor displays vary; always calibrate production against official Pantone Formula Guide PMS 3596C.
- Certified Pantone PMS 3596C Match: Certified via X-Rite scanner to deliver precise, repeatable flesh tones across simulated process separations and brand designs.
- High-Productivity Wet-on-Wet Formula: Engineered to eliminate ink pickup on the contact side of succeeding screens, allowing high-speed auto runs without intermediate flashing.
- Energy-Efficient 285°F Low Cure: Achieves full fusion cure at 285°F (~60s dwell), protecting delicate fabrics, saving shop energy, and avoiding dye migration on poly blends.
- Versatile Dual-Application Chemistry: Delivers superior direct garment prints on cotton, 50/50, and tri-blends, while also serving as a stable plastisol for cold-peel transfers.

Troubleshooting & Pressroom Defect Prevention
Resolving common shop-floor printing issues with Texsource GEN Series Rebel Flesh:
Issue: Why is Rebel Flesh cracking or flaking after the garment is washed?
Correction: Cracking results from incomplete resin fusion (under-curing). While the GEN series fuses at 285°F (140°C), the full thickness of the ink deposit must hold that temperature for approximately 60 seconds. Do not rely exclusively on handheld infrared temperature guns, which register only garment surface heat; confirm internal dryer temperatures with a cross-probe donut probe.
Issue: How do I maintain color purity with Rebel Flesh on dark or heathered garments?
Correction: Rebel Flesh is calibrated to a delicate tonal balance (PMS 3596C). Printing directly onto dark garments without an underbase can cause dark fibers to muddy the color tone. Always print Rebel Flesh over a flashed white underbase (using 160–230 tpi mesh) to ensure true skin tone rendition without garment fiber contamination.
Issue: Why is Rebel Flesh taking on a gray or pink tint on polyester-blend shirts?
Correction: Dye migration occurs when polyester fibers reach 330°F+ and gasify into the ink film. The GEN series' low-cure profile (285°F) helps stop sublimation before it starts. On heavily dyed 100% polyester garments, print over a dedicated barrier black or bleed-blocking grey base to keep flesh tones clean.
